Author's note: From now on, I'm going to be adding in a tiny Court Record so you all can be aware of the evidence of the case.

After the murder we called the police. The Wolfes let us sleep in their...mansion (Emile was kinda happy about that),until the police arrived at around 5AM and started questioning us
.

"For the last time, Emile, Wolfe was not killed by a spider person. There's no such thing as spider people. So can you please stop hugging my neck because you're SLOWLY SUFFOCATING ME!" Jon screamed that last part loud enough for Emile to get off of Jon's neck. They were walking towards the Den of Spiders in order to check out what was happening right now (Or at least Tim was....he was checking every rock, nook and tree while Emile and Jon kinda laid low and let him do his thing).

It wasn't long before they reached the flamed wreckage that was the Den. Already, a bunch of workers were towering around, trying to figure out what happened here. The fire had already subsided. Some were picking up flaming rubble. Some were hosing down the premises. Some seemed to be chanting to a deity about getting the spider devils out of the building.

But what was most interesting to all of them was the two oddballs who weren't wearing lab suits standing in the middle of the wreckage. One looked to be an extremely short police officer in a weird suit. The other looked to be a bit taller, with a bit longer brownish hair that hid his right eye. As well as a large brown mustache that complimented his brown suit and blue tie.

"I tell you Barton," The man said in a strangely British accent, "This entire case makes no sense. First, I get a call from Scotland Yard to go to America. Now, I'm being told to be part of this stupid murder case about some spider man. What good is all of this anyway, right Barton? Barton?" The strange detective man looked for his partner, who mysteriously vanished....

That was...until he heard Barton's voice talking to Emile: "Yes sir, from what we saw from the autopsy, the man...um...Wolfe....he didn't die from the fire, but rather by the-"

"Oyy!! Barton!!" The detective yelled at his assistant as he ran to where Emile was, "What have I told you about revealing top secret murder information to the general population!?" The officer saluted the detective.

"Yes Sir. Sorry Sir." The detective sighed and looked at Emile, who was grinning like he was just caught stealing.

"Ummm.....so I guess you won't tell me what he died from?" The detective looked at Emile, red in the face.

"Look here boy!! This isn't a place for citizens!! This is a private property that has just had dealt with a murder and we're trying to-WHAT IN BLAZES ARE THOSE TWO DOING SO CLOSE TO THE EVIDENCE?!??" The detective gawked as Tim led Jon to the charred table that was turned upside down.

"Hey Jon....don't you notice anything....weird about this table and chairs?" Tim asked and pointed to the table. Jon just shrugged.

"The only thing I find weird is why you're not a lawyer yet."

"Always with the jokes, aren't you?" Tim mocked...even though he knew where that sentiment was going, "I'm not even part of this case in any way!! This is just force of habit!! Anyway, what I mean to show is this: look at the legs of the table and chairs." Jon's eyes widened.

"Only the feet and legs of the table are charred!!" Jon realized. Tim nodded.

"Not only that. But look at the floor." Tim walked around the floor, "It looks...undamaged. It's almost as if the legs of the table and chairs were the only things that were on fire...not the floor...Also look at this," Tim looked at one of the arms on the chair, "It looks like he was drawing something to release his stress. but how is that possib-" Before Tim could complete his thought, his body hit the detectives, who had steam running through his ears (Seriously he looked like Jon whenever Emile did something stupid).

"Ummmm," Tim tried to be polite, "Is there anything I can help you wi-"

"WHAT IN BLAZES DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, GOING THROUGH A CRIME SCENE LIKE THAT?!" The man's booming voice freaked Tim out so much that Tim ran away and hid behind Jon. Emile quickly joined his friend by hiding behind Jon (Jon just rolled his eyes and was happy he lived in Canada).

"Ummmm..." Jon tried, "We were just wondering what happened here...we were one of the people who were in the house at the time of the murder." The detective raised his eyebrow at that.

"Hmmm...some witnesses then. Well I guess I can let it slide.....for now," The detective raised his hand, "The name's Inspector Chemley, at your service." Tim grabbed the hand and began shaking, "Well, I guess I can let the defense attorney walk around the crime scene if need be." Tim smiled at that.

"Oh I'm sorry I think you have the wrong person. I'm not the defense attorney for this case." Inspector Chemley stared at Tim in confusion.

"Are you sure? Because from what I heard you match the description of the person that's going to defend the witness." Tim's eyes widened at that statement.

"Wait...who the crap told you that??" But before Chemley could answer that, they all could hear a booming laughter and the sound of running towards Tim.

"Don't answer that." Tim sighed as he was bear hugged by Muscleman, "Hello, Mr. Muscle. How've you been?"

"Alright alright!!" Muscleman laughed, "But I feel like I'll be more alright once you prove to everyone that Bobby Wolfe is innocent!!" Tim looked wide eyed at the thought of another trial, and another life in his hand.

"So," Emile broke the silence, "Bobby Wolfe is the one who is being held on trial....huh?"

"Well of course he's the most suspicious one. He's the only one without an alibi at the time."

"Not exactly!!" Emile spoke up and walked towards the center of everyone, looking all smug.

Jon rolled his eyes, "This is gonna suck."

"There was another. Another entity that was unaccounted for. And he is known as....

SPIDER MA-" Emile was knocked to the floor as Jon grabbed the nearest blunt instrument and started hitting Emile with it. Chemley pointed at the scene in the center of everyone.

"Should I be worried about this?" Tim shrugged.

"Nah. They do this once a day. It's now the only way I can get them to fall asleep. But that's besides the point," Tim looked at Chemley, "Inspector, I heard you say something about the victim not dying from the fire, but there was something else? What else was there?"

"Well...you see, autopsy says the victim didn't die from suffocation, but instead he died from a "blow to the head." Chemley pointed to where the fallen Mr. Wolfe lay. Sure enough, he had a bump on his head that made what Jon was doing to Emile look like child's play, "No idea how it happened, but that seems to be the cause of death." Tim wrote that down in his court record.

"Alright, well, I guess I don't have a choice (This seriously cannot be legal), but if I have to defend Bobby Wolfe tomorrow, I guess I'll have to get everything ready toni-"

"No time." Everyone turned around to see (much to Tim's annoyance) to see Prosecutor Kyoya walking up towards where Tim and gang were, "You should already realize the trial will begin in one hour." Tim gawked at how much time he was given.

"o..o...on....ONE HOUR?!?" Tim looked over his court record to realize he barely had enough time to run over to the courthouse, "I'm supposed to get my stuff ready in an hour?? How are you ready for that??" Kyoya just turned around, not looking at Tim.

"Don't worry about me. I'm not even going to be prosecuting this trial. Something came up that requires my immediate attention." That caught Tim's attention.

"Wait....you're not prosecuting? Then who is?"

"A Proxy of mine." Kyoya answered, "do not underestimate him when you see him. The boy's been through more than both of us." And before Tim could ask more questions, Kyoya left the scene as quickly as he came. It was silence for a good minute.

"HEY TIM DO WE HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO EAT MORE GOLDEN STEAKS!?" Leave it to Emile to get rid of the peace and silence. Tim looked angrily at Emile.

"Yo forget the golden steaks! I have to be at the courthouse in one hour!!" Tim yelled and pulled both Jon and Emile by their collars (Yes they were still fighting and Emile has the scars to prove it.)

So.....short chapter? I know it's been a long while. I blame school. But for now, short chapter considering how long in between this and the last chapter in freaking august. I also needed to cross check if this'll work. Also, court record because court record. Just in case I forgot something.
So that's fun. Also....hmmm....Chemley and Barton? A mysterious new prosecutor? I wonder what's going on? ^^; ;). This is niani362, signing off.
